For the eighth year in a row, EventQuip is honored to sponsor a family through The Breathing Room Foundation‘s Holiday Gift Program. And, we encourage YOU to do the same!
The Breathing Room’s mission is to reach out to families who have a member suffering from cancer who are struggling to stay afloat, in one way or another.
Founded by Bernie and Diane Fitzgerald while Diane struggled with her own fight with cancer, The BRF recognizes that a cancer diagnosis affects every aspect of a family’s life; emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial. The Breathing Room endeavors to provide families with whatever it is that will allow them a bit of “breathing room” from their daily struggle against cancer. For some families, their entire world is put on hold and the daily pleasures of life are sacrificed to fund the fight. The Breathing Room hopes that having their friends in the community provide support will allow the families to focus on getting their loved ones physically well.
Sadly, Diane Fitzgerald didn’t survive her fight with cancer but her legacy remains in The Breathing Room Foundation which now helps more and more local Philadelphia area families each and every year.

Without hesitation, without question, our entire staff (particularly Janet Knight, who took on all the shopping for 10 people!) has embraced the Holiday Gift Program by fulfilling the simple holiday requests of one struggling family. And in the process, we’ve managed to remember that the holidays are not just about what we receive, but about what we GIVE. We encourage you to find the joy in the season by sponsoring a family or a family member.
